It started with an idea
November 2022 the journey started
Prior to property Co-Founder Dave Robertson worked in Oil and Gas and while at home he ran an Architecture Business.
In November 2022 Dave had decided that property was the way forward, he was always fascinated with property and had dabbled in property development in the early 2000’s
Dave’s son had just left home and gone to university and whilst supporting him that prompted him to rethink how to make his money work better for him. Fast forward to early 2023 and the enthusiasm was starting to dwindle, when deals were found they were lost due to take taken to run figures and do the due-diligence, combined with a lack of confidence while doing viewings not much progress was made. Dave started to research to find resources to help him and so the idea of The Property App was born.

The Power of a Joint Venture
Dave knew he could only offer value in the concept but not offer anything in the way of support and guidance of an experienced investor. Dave had been getting mentoring from Co-Founder Nick Guit and after a short discussion and agreement was made and the development of the concept started.
The experienced investor
Co-Founder Nick Guit’s background is 30 years as a builder, running his own business, later going to university to obtain a BSc in Building Surveying, Nick began investing in property in 2012 and has grown a seven figure property portfolio. In 2022 Nick became a member of the Association of Business Mentors.
Nick’s always had a strong passion for property and how he can help people. The app seemed like the perfect way to help people both new and experienced be more professional and organised with their property business. Making life easier for them also.
Developing the concept
Both Dave & Nick did not have a tech background so this presented some challenges. They needed the right people to help guide and advise what could be achieved with the limitations of software and also budget.
Dave describes the app as him in app form the app has grown with him and systems introduced to suit what he was looking for help with.
